Patna: Police in Patna have recovered several stolen vehicles following a late-night raid, in what authorities describe as a long-running theft operation.
Officers from the Nadi police station raided a house in Sabalpur, belonging to Jai Nandan Rai, son of Jamuna Rai, seizing three stolen autos and two motorcycles. No arrests have been made so far.
Sub-Inspector Vivek Kumar said the gang allegedly dismantled stolen autos and motorcycles at the property, selling parts individually in the market. “The stolen vehicles were brought here, cut using a cutter machine, and then sold piece by piece,” he said.
The raid was partially foiled after the family reportedly received advance warning, prompting those involved to flee. Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and all aspects of the operation are being examined. The recovered vehicles have been taken into police custody. Authorities emphasised that the case forms part of a broader crackdown on vehicle theft in the city.
