The directives were issued on Thursday during a departmental review meeting.

The meeting reviewed the progress, quality and timelines of several infrastructure works, including national highways, expressways, bypasses and flyovers across multiple districts. Secretary Sandeep R Pudkalkatti, Additional Secretary Shailaja Sharma and officials from NHAI were among those present.
Nabin urged officials to maintain strict quality standards and resolve any delays caused by administrative obstacles by coordinating closely with district administrations. He directed engineers from both NHAI and the Road Construction Department to increase site inspections, identify issues early and submit timely reports.
The minister also called for regular review meetings with contractors and decided that monthly progress reports for major projects would be submitted directly to him.
