Patna: Bihar has announced a major reshuffle of IAS officers soon after the formation of the new government. The General Administration Department issued a notification transferring several senior officers and appointing new District Magistrates in many districts. The move is being seen as an effort to bring stability and new momentum to district-level administration.
As part of the new postings, Aurangabad District Magistrate Shrikant Shastri has been shifted to Begusarai. Madhepura DM Taranjot Singh will now serve as the District Magistrate of West Champaran. The DM of Shivhar, Vivek Ranjan, has been appointed the new District Magistrate of Siwan, while Arwal DM Abhilash Sharma has been transferred to Aurangabad.
The reshuffle also brings in officers from various departments into district roles. Ashutosh Dwivedi, Joint Secretary in the Building Construction Department, has been made the District Magistrate of Katihar. Pratibha Rani will now serve as the DM of Shivhar. Vaibhav Srivastava, Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, has been appointed as the new DM of Saran.
Several more districts will see new leadership. Mines Director Vinod Duhan has been posted as the District Magistrate of Araria. Abhishek Ranjan, Director of the Fisheries Department, will now serve as the DM of Madhepura. Shekhar Anand from the Industries Department has been appointed the DM of Sheikhpura, while Amrisha Bains from the Energy Department has been made the DM of Arwal.
The changes continue in Buxar and Kaimur. Sahila, Director of Primary Education, has taken charge as the District Magistrate of Buxar, and Nitin Kumar Singh, Director of the Agriculture Department, has been appointed the new DM of Kaimur. With this wide-ranging reshuffle, the state government aims to improve governance and ensure efficient service delivery across Bihar.
