Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Visits Bakhtiyarpur’s Ganga Banks to Review River Front Development
Patna: Chief Minister (CM) Nitish Kumar on Friday inspected the progress of riverfront development project at Seedhi Ghat along river Ganga at Bakhtiyarpur.
During the review, CM Nitish issued directives to officials to expand the Seedhi Ghat to ensure the comfort and convenience of devotees. He stressed the need for a grand and well-organized Ganga Aarti event and emphasized the importance of constructing a suitable road for easy access to the mainstream of the Ganga river. He proposed developing a section of the Ganga river to provide permanent accommodations for devotees, complete with appropriate seating and proper arrangements for Ganga Aarti ceremonies.
The Chief Minister later participated in the grand and formal Ganga Aarti at the Seedhi Ghat, situated on the banks of the Ganga.
Further demonstrating his commitment to the spiritual and cultural aspects of the visit, CM Nitish offered his prayers at the Shri Radhe Krishna Temple (Thakrabadi) located at Seedhi Ghat. He extended his wishes for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the state. Additionally, he paid his respects at the memorial site of freedom fighter Pandit Shilbhadra Yaji and his late wife, Balkeshwari Yaji, by offering floral tributes.
Present on this occasion were Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha, Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajeev Mishra, water resources engineers from the department, senior officials, and various dignitaries, alongside devoted citizens.
