Patna: Nitin Nabin, recently appointed as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national executive president, is set to visit Bihar for the first time since taking charge, with a roadshow planned in Patna on December 23.
Party leaders said preparations are underway for what is expected to be a high-profile visit, reflecting Nabin’s political roots in the state and his elevation to a senior national role. A former state minister and a prominent BJP legislator, Nabin’s appointment has generated considerable enthusiasm among party workers in Bihar.
The visit was confirmed by the BJP’s newly appointed Bihar unit president, Sanjay Sarawgi, who said supporters from across the state are expected to gather in Patna to welcome the leader.
According to the schedule released by the party, Nabin will arrive at Patna airport at around 12:30 p.m. From there, a roadshow will proceed via Bailey Road to Rajvanshi Nagar, where he will offer prayers at the Hanuman temple. He will later pay floral tributes to statues of BR Ambedkar near the Patna high court and Jayaprakash Narayan at the Income Tax roundabout.
The roadshow will conclude at Miller High School, where a large felicitation ceremony has been organised. Senior BJP leaders, including Bihar’s deputy chief ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, are expected to attend.
Sarawgi described the visit as a significant moment for the state unit, saying Nabin’s elevation had boosted the morale of party workers. He added that strengthening organisational coordination and ensuring communication between workers and the government would be a priority going forward.
The BJP has framed the visit as both symbolic and strategic, using the roadshow to underline party unity while showcasing its leadership presence in the state capital.
