Patna: Patna Airport operations were disrupted on Wednesday as dense fog and poor weather conditions caused cancellations and delays, leaving passengers stranded.
IndiGo Airlines cancelled two flights on the Delhi–Patna–Delhi route, including flight 6E 6549, citing fog in Delhi. Ten incoming flights to Patna were delayed by one to two hours, while five departures, including services to Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, faced delays of 30 minutes to an hour.
Passengers reported confusion as airline mobile apps displayed correct flight times, while airport screens indicated delays, prompting complaints over inconsistent information. Most affected travellers were rebooked on subsequent flights, though some opted to cancel and seek refunds.
Airport authorities warned that flight operations would remain affected until weather conditions improve and advised passengers to verify flight status before travelling.
