Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted a detailed inspection of preparations for the 359th Prakash Parv celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj on Friday, visiting multiple sites across the city to review facilities for devotees.
During the visit, CM Nitish emphasised that every aspect of the arrangements should be monitored at a micro level to ensure that pilgrims face no inconvenience. He inspected the newly constructed ‘Prakash Punj’ (Light Tower) at Patna Sahib, observing exhibits on Sikhism and the spiritual teachings of Guru Gobind Singh. The Chief Minister also reviewed the watchtower under construction in front of the Prakash Punj, directing officials to expedite work. The complex, which will include a pond, walking paths, and seating areas, is being developed to be green and visually appealing.

CM later visited the O.P. Sah Community Hall in Malsalami, Patna City, assessing facilities for devotees and issuing instructions on cleanliness and security. Pilgrims present at the site expressed gratitude, praising the arrangements as thorough and welcoming.

The Chief Minister then inspected the tent city at Kangan Ghat, where officials outlined plans for a multi-level parking facility. Kumar reiterated the importance of ensuring that all devotees visiting for the Prakash Parv, which marks Guru Gobind Singh’s birth anniversary, have a comfortable and memorable experience.

“Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj was born here, and it is a matter of pride for the people of Bihar. Devotees from across the world visit Patna Sahib, and it is essential that they leave with happy memories,” Kumar said.

Accompanying the Chief Minister were Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Tourism Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh, Patna Division Commissioner Animesh Parashar, District Magistrate Dr. Thiyagarajan S.M., Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K. Sharma, and other senior officials and members of the Prakash Parv organising committee.
