Patna: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday inspected the newly constructed Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Science City in Patna, reviewing its facilities and arrangements ahead of its wider public use.
Built on a 21-acre site in Rajendra Nagar, the science city houses five thematic science galleries, 269 interactive exhibits, an auditorium, a 4D theatre and dormitory facilities for students and teachers. Officials said the complex has been designed as a modern centre for science education and innovation.

During the visit, CM toured the galleries and exhibits, interacted with children present at the venue and encouraged them to engage with scientific learning. The building construction department secretary, Kumar Ravi, briefed the chief minister on the infrastructure and amenities available at the facility.
CM Nitish said the science city had been developed with “unique ideas” and described it as an attractive learning space for people of all age groups. He added that the project aims to promote scientific awareness among young people and help students understand basic scientific principles through hands-on experiences, fostering greater interest in science and technology.

Senior officials present during the inspection included the principal secretary to the chief minister, Deepak Kumar; Patna division commissioner, Animesh Parashar; and the Patna district magistrate, Thiyagarajan SM, along with other administrative officers.
