Patna: Ram Navami is not merely a religious festival but a reflection of India’s enduring culture, values and social unity, the BJP national working president Nitin Nabin said on Tuesday.
Addressing a meeting organised by the Shri Shri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra Abhinandan Committee, Nabin said the ideals associated with Lord Rama — truth, righteousness and compassion — continued to offer guidance to society. He urged organisers and volunteers to ensure that the forthcoming Ram Navami processions conveyed a message of discipline, harmony and social cohesion.
“The Ram Navami procession has always stood for order and brotherhood. All those involved must act responsibly so that the festival becomes a symbol of unity,” he said, noting that the committee had played a consistent role in organising the celebrations over the years.
Participants at the meeting agreed to ensure broad participation from all sections of society and appealed for vigilance against rumours or antisocial activities that could disrupt the festivities. Organisers also resolved to coordinate closely with the administration to maintain peace during the celebrations.
Discussions focused on practical aspects of the event, including the procession route, security arrangements and traffic management. Organisers said special attention would be given to crowd control and coordination with civic and police authorities to ensure smooth conduct.
Looking ahead, Nabin said plans were already being envisaged to make the Ram Navami celebrations in Patna in 2026 “even grander”, while underlining that scale should go hand in hand with responsibility and social harmony.
