Patna: The results of the Bihar Police driver constable recruitment exam have been published, with 15,516 candidates qualifying for the next stage of the selection process. Of them, 15,054 are men, 461 women, and one is a transgender applicant — the first such candidate to qualify in this recruitment round.
The written test, held on December 10 across multiple centres, saw 1,16,534 participants competing for 4,361 posts in the Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police. The jobs include driver constable positions advertised in July 2025 by the Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC), which received 1,64,168 valid online applications.
Physical efficiency tests are expected to take place in March 2026, and successful candidates from that round will move forward to final appointments. Officials said 18 candidates were disqualified from the results after alleged malpractice, errors in roll number, or answer sheet discrepancies made their papers ineligible for evaluation.
The list of successful candidates also includes 86 applicants from the Gorkha community and 101 dependents of freedom fighters.
