Patna: Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh has become the centre of a social media storm on his birthday, amid rumours that he may have married for a third time. A video of the actor cutting his birthday cake has gone viral, showing him holding hands with a woman wearing vermilion in her hair—traditionally a symbol of marriage in India.
In the footage, Singh appears unsteady, prompting the woman to support him as he folds his hands in prayer before slicing the cake. Social media users have speculated whether she could be his third wife, with comments on the video noting Singh’s apparent inebriation.
Birthday Wishes from Second Wife Jyoti Singh
Meanwhile, Singh’s second wife, Jyoti Singh, also posted a birthday greeting for him on social media. Sharing a video of the celebrations, she wrote: “Happy Birthday, may God fulfil all your wishes.” In the clip, Singh is seen surrounded by friends, colleagues, and team members, receiving birthday caps and candles before cutting the cake with a female companion, even licking it from her hand as onlookers chant “Happy Birthday” and “Har Har Mahadev.”
The couple’s personal disputes have played out publicly, particularly during the 2025 Bihar assembly elections. On October 5, Jyoti Singh visited Singh’s residence but was reportedly denied entry, leaving her visibly distressed. Their domestic discord influenced Singh’s initial decision to contest the elections from Ara, which he later abandoned under political pressure, while Jyoti ran as an independent candidate.
A Troubled Marital History
Pawan Singh’s marital history has attracted considerable media scrutiny. He first married Neelam Singh in 2014; she tragically died by suicide in 2015. Three years later, in March 2018, he married Jyoti Singh in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The couple’s relationship reportedly soured within months, with Jyoti alleging domestic abuse, forced abortion, and infidelity. Singh filed for divorce in 2021, and the case remains pending in Ara Family Court.
Despite attempts at reconciliation—including during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, when Jyoti campaigned for Singh—the pair’s disputes resurfaced after the results. Singh’s personal life continues to be a focus of public attention, particularly following his birthday celebrations, which have intensified speculation about his marital status.
