Patna Municipal Corporation Launches Initiative to Address Street Light Issues
Patna: With the onset of monsoon rainfall, the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a proactive initiative to tackle street light problems in the city. Forty special teams have been formed, each responsible for maintaining street lights across two wards.
The initiative was formally inaugurated today by Mayor Sita Sahu, Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi, and Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar, along with members of the Standing Committee, who flagged off the vehicles assigned to the teams.
Each zone in Patna will have dedicated teams equipped to promptly address any street light issues. These teams, comprising electricians and supervisors, will conduct thorough inspections of street lights in their designated wards to identify and resolve any malfunctions. Mayor Sita Sahu emphasized the importance of timely resolution of public issues and instructed the personnel to ensure efficient service.
The teams are provided with special vehicles outfitted with lights, electronic gadgets, technical equipment, and ladders, enabling them to carry out immediate repairs. They will commence their ward visits daily from 9 am. In addition, specific individuals have been assigned to manage main roads and address public grievances, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly.
