The Amrit Bharat Express, designed with modern passenger amenities, will run between Howrah in Kolkata and Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi, passing through major cities including Varanasi, Jaunpur, Lucknow, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly and Hapur.
In the upward direction, the train will cover the 1,451km distance from Howrah to Anand Vihar in 27 hours and 40 minutes. On the return journey, it will take 29 hours and 35 minutes to travel from Anand Vihar to Howrah.
According to the schedule, train number 13065 will depart from Howrah every Thursday at 11:10 pm. It will reach Anugrah Narayan Road station at 8:14 am the next day, Dehri-on-Sone at 8:32 am, Sasaram Junction at 8:50 am and Bhabua Road at 9:27 am, before continuing through several other stations and arriving at Anand Vihar at 2:50 am on Saturday.
In the down direction, train number 13066 will leave Anand Vihar Terminal every Saturday at 5;15 am. It will arrive at Bhabua Road at 11;24 pm, Sasaram at 11:53 pm, Dehri-on-Sone at 12:08 am and Anugrah Narayan Road at 12:24 am, before travelling via Gaya, Koderma, Gomoh and Dhanbad and reaching Howrah at 10:50 am on Sunday.
Railway officials said the introduction of the Amrit Bharat Express would provide passengers with a faster and more comfortable travel option between eastern India and Delhi. The service is expected to benefit both long-distance travellers and people from smaller towns such as Sasaram, Dehri-on-Sone and Bhabua Road, which have been given scheduled halts on the route.
With its launch, the Howrah–Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express is set to become a key addition to the rail network connecting the eastern states to the capital region, improving connectivity and reducing travel time for thousands of passengers each week.
