Patna: People across Bihar have got some relief from the biting cold as bright sunshine during the day is making the weather feel warmer. However, the chill is still being felt during the early mornings and evenings.
According to the Meteorological Centre, continuous sunshine during the daytime is likely to raise the minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. No alert has been issued for severe cold or dense fog over the next one week, indicating stable weather conditions across the state.
Weather experts said there is no major change expected in the overall weather pattern. While mornings and nights will remain cold, people will experience noticeable relief from the cold during the day due to clear skies and sunshine.
No Active Western Disturbance
Meteorologists also said that at present, no strong Western Disturbance is active over north India. Usually, the impact of a Western Disturbance leads to increased cold, cloud cover and occasional light rain in Bihar and adjoining regions.
Since no such system is active right now, the atmosphere remains largely normal and temperatures are gradually rising. This is the main reason behind the bright daytime sunshine and the reduction in the feeling of cold.
As per the forecast, minimum temperatures will continue to increase slowly in the coming days, giving people further relief from the winter chill.
