Patna: The Bihar Meteorological Department has issued a five-day weather forecast, predicting little change in temperatures across the state. Residents are expected to experience cold mornings and evenings, while bright sunshine during the day will ease the chill.
Experts have noted that a lack of active Western Disturbances—weather systems that typically bring cooler temperatures—combined with dry winds, has kept conditions relatively stable. However, the department has cautioned that a slight increase in cold may occur in the last week of January or the first week of February.
In the past 24 hours, temperature fluctuations were minimal. Rajgir in Nalanda recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 7.3°C, while Kaimur saw the highest maximum at 28.1°C. Across the state, minimum temperatures ranged between 7.3°C and 13.3°C, and maximums varied from 24°C to 28.1°C.
Patna is expected to see similar conditions, with light morning fog possible but no escalation in cold or weather alerts. Other districts, including Bagaha, Bettiah, and Gopalganj, also reported fog on Saturday, though daytime sunshine continues to provide relief to residents.
