Patna: The grievance redressal initiative under the state’s Sahyog Shivir programme has recorded a disposal rate of 91.1 per cent, with 269,240 out of 309,919 applications resolved as of June 16, according to official data.
The camps, organised across rural Gram Panchayats and urban local bodies, are part of a structured mechanism to address public complaints in a time-bound manner through the state’s monitoring framework.
Expanding grievance redressal system
The initiative, launched under the leadership of Samrat Choudhary, was introduced as a recurring public service mechanism held on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
The programme was first rolled out at the Gram Panchayat level on May 19, with citizens allowed to submit applications up to 30 days in advance of the camps.
A toll-free helpline (1100) has also been introduced to support grievance registration and tracking, alongside manual submission at district-level offices and online filing through the Sahyog portal.
Monitoring through real-time system
Officials said all applications are tracked through a real-time monitoring system integrated with the Sahyog portal, enabling classification of grievances, status updates, and identification of delays.
Dedicated Sahyog Cells have been set up in departments, with nodal officers tasked with continuous monitoring and escalation of pending cases to the concerned authorities.
The system also analyses delay patterns to determine administrative bottlenecks in resolution.
Strict timeline and accountability framework
Under government guidelines, all grievances are required to be resolved within 30 days. A structured escalation mechanism has been put in place, issuing notices at 10, 20 and 25 days of pendency.
If applications remain unresolved beyond 30 days without valid justification, officials are subject to automatic suspension under the accountability protocol.
Authorities said the framework is aimed at strengthening administrative responsiveness and reducing delays in public service delivery across departments.
