Muzaffarpur: Langat Singh College organised a felicitation ceremony on Tuesday to honour recently retired teaching and non-teaching staff, marking their years of service with tributes from colleagues and administrators. The event, held in the college auditorium, was presided over by the Principal, Prof. Kanupriya, and drew a large gathering of faculty members and staff.
In her address, Prof. Kanupriya said the institution’s academic success was built on the collective efforts of teachers, staff and students. She described coordination among these groups as the “core mantra” behind the college’s reputation as a leading centre for knowledge dissemination. The principal also stressed that the retirees’ experience remained a valuable asset for the institution.
The college announced that retired staff would be invited to major campus events in the future, signalling an effort to maintain their connection with the academic community. Among those honoured were veteran academics Prof. Sunil Mishra, former Head of the Physics Department, and Prof. N N Mishra, Former Head of Psychology, alongside non-teaching staff members Ramesh Mahto, Dev Narayan Singh and Mithilesh Prasad.
The programme was conducted by Dr Rajeshwar Kumar and Prof Rajendra Prasad, with speakers including Prof T K Dey, Prof Jaykant Singh, Prof Surendra Roy, Dr Archna Thakur, Dr Rajeev Kumar and Dr Rajesh Anupam. The ceremony was attended by numerous faculty members, reflecting what organisers described as a collective tribute to the institution’s departing colleagues and their enduring legacy.
