Patna: Anwesha, the annual techno-cultural-management festival of IIT Patna, is becoming one of the most popular student festivals in India. Speaking to the media, Prof. T. N. Singh, Director of IIT Patna, said that Anwesha is no longer limited to Patna or Bihar. Over the years, it has created a strong identity across the country and has become a powerful platform where students can show their creativity, new ideas and skills. He added that the festival encourages young people to think differently and express themselves through art, technology and innovation.
The 15th edition of Anwesha will be held from 6 to 8 February 2026 at the IIT Patna campus. This year’s theme is “Palingenesis Reverie,” which means rebirth, imagination and a fresh start. The official mascot, Eirvan, represents youthful energy and innovation. Many important guests were present at the announcement, including Prof. Jimson Mathew, Dr. A. K. Jha, A. K. Mukherjee, Kashika Agrawal, Aniruddh Singh and other respected officials, showing the importance of the event for the institute and the state.
The festival will include 32 events, with 27 offline and five online competitions. These events will cover many areas such as technology, cultural performances, management skills and creative arts. Over the three days, students can take part in activities like Imagination Station, Mr and Ms Anwesha, Mixology, Comedy Crunch, Silent Expo, AnimeCon, Stage Play Showcase, The Escape Room and many more. There will also be workshops like film editing and origami, giving students a chance to learn new skills and explore their talents.
Along with competitions, Anwesha 2026 will also offer exciting live music shows. On 6 February, the famous Warsi Brothers of Rampur will perform Qawwali. On February 7, singer Nikita Gandhi will present a Bollywood pop night. The festival will end on February 8 with performances by Chaar Diwari and a grand live concert by Darshan Raval. With its mix of learning, creativity and entertainment, Anwesha 2026 promises to be a memorable experience for students and visitors alike.
