Patna: Patna Traffic Police have announced extensive traffic restrictions and diversions across key city roads on Sunday in view of Mahashivratri processions expected to draw large crowds.
Vehicle movement will be restricted along Nehru Path and surrounding areas from 2pm until the conclusion of the procession. Under the Rajabazar flyover, all general vehicles will be barred from operating between the Dumra TOP turn and the Jagdev Path turn.

Small vehicles travelling towards Digha, Rajiv Nagar and AG Colony will be redirected from pillar number four of the Rajabazar flyover onto Ambedkar Path, continuing via Maurya Path to Ashiana-Digha Road.
Vehicles approaching from the east near Dumra TOP will be diverted towards the western gate of the airport and then via Phulwari Jail turn to Jagdev Path. Traffic moving towards Ashiana-Digha Road will be guided through designated U-turn points and diversion routes under the Rupaspur bridge and Vijaynagar.
The Mahashivratri procession traditionally passes through areas including Rajiv Nagar, Digha and Dakbungalow before culminating at the Shiva temple in Khajpura.
Police have appealed to commuters to plan their journeys in advance and cooperate with traffic personnel to avoid congestion and ensure the smooth conduct of the festival.
