Patna: A brief security scare was reported in Bihar’s Begusarai district on the final day of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ after a bull wandered onto the helipad prepared for his arrival and chased police personnel stationed at the site.
The incident occurred shortly before the chief minister was scheduled to land in Begusarai as part of the third phase of his statewide development tour. According to eyewitnesses, the bull suddenly ran onto the helipad, prompting police officers on duty to scramble for safety. Some personnel climbed onto a nearby fire brigade vehicle while others ran in different directions, leading to brief chaos around the landing area.
Officials said the animal initially refused to leave the helipad despite attempts to drive it away. Police personnel eventually used an ambulance and a police vehicle to chase the bull out of the premises, restoring order before the chief minister’s arrival.
The incident occurred on the final day of the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’, during which he is visiting districts across Bihar to review development work and launch new projects.
During his visit to Begusarai, He is expected to lay the foundation stones for 189 schemes worth about Rs 109 crore and inaugurate 211 completed projects valued at Rs 165 crore. A review meeting on ongoing development work in the district is also scheduled.
After completing his programme in Begusarai, the chief minister will travel to Sheikhpura, where he will lay the foundation for 120 schemes estimated at Rs 144 crore and inaugurate 196 projects worth around Rs 62 crore.
Deputy chief ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha are also expected to accompany CM during the tour as officials review the progress of development projects in both districts.
