Arwal: In a significant stride towards ensuring comprehensive education access, the Education Department of Arwal district has successfully enrolled 1,17,566 children on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal, representing 88% of the district’s target of 1,33,711. This achievement has been made possible by the efforts of 599 schools in the district.

Out of the total enrolled students, 1,291 children have been registered using their Aadhaar numbers, while the remaining 17,275 children are yet to have their Aadhaar details linked. District Magistrate Varsha Singh has taken proactive measures to address this gap, directing the District Education Officer to ensure Aadhaar cards are made for these children and their details entered into the portal within the next 15 days.

In terms of private schools, 94 out of 123 institutions have enrolled 6,347 students out of a potential 15,735. The District Education Officer has been instructed to expedite the enrollment of the remaining 8,477 children and to initiate the closure of 29 schools that have not yet begun the enrollment process.

Further directives have been issued to ensure that all children are enrolled on the portal within two days to meet the district’s target.

Currently, Arwal district ranks sixth in the state for student enrollment on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal—a remarkable improvement from its previous ranking of second from the bottom. This progress is attributed to the consistent monitoring and supervision by District Magistrate Varsha Singh.
