Patna: Dry weather conditions are expected to persist across Bihar due to the influence of westerly winds, with wind speeds likely to range between 40 and 50 kmph in most parts of the state, according to the Meteorological Centre in Patna.
As per the latest Bihar weather forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to rise by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius over the next three to four days. Partly cloudy conditions may prevail at a few places during this period.
On Friday, Kishanganj district recorded wind speeds of up to 41 kmph. Light to moderate rainfall was also reported in isolated areas of north Bihar over the past 24 hours. Thakurganj in Kishanganj recorded the highest rainfall at 28.4 mm.
Other rainfall data showed 27.6 mm in Terhagachh (Kishanganj), 20.0 mm in Bahadurganj (Kishanganj), 13.4 mm in Forbesganj, 10.6 mm in Narpatganj (Araria), 5.8 mm in Araria, 4.6 mm in Baisa (Purnia), 2.6 mm in Amour (Purnia), and 1.2 mm in Kishanganj.
Temperature levels varied across major cities. Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 33.3°C and a minimum of 21.7°C, while Motihari reported the highest maximum temperature in the state at 37.0°C. Most districts, except Sabour in Bhagalpur, witnessed a rise in maximum temperatures.
Among key cities, Gaya recorded the highest daytime temperature at 34.0°C and also the lowest minimum temperature at 17.8°C. Bhagalpur reported 32.3°C (max) and 19.6°C (min), while Muzaffarpur recorded 32.0°C (max) and 20.8°C (min).
Despite rising temperatures, weather conditions in Patna and nearby areas remained relatively normal due to increased wind activity. Meteorological officials have advised residents to stay cautious of strong winds and rising heat in the coming days.
