Samastipur: The Samastipur Division of Indian Railways has announced the operation of special trains to facilitate candidates appearing for the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission.
The examination is scheduled to be held in two shifts on April 14, 15, 17, 18, 20 and 21. In view of the large number of candidates expected to travel from different districts, the railway administration will run special trains on April 15, 18 and 21.
These trains will operate on key routes including Muzaffarpur–Patliputra, Darbhanga–Hajipur–Patliputra, Samastipur–Hajipur–Patliputra and Bettiah–Hajipur–Patliputra.
Officials said the train schedules have been planned to ensure arrival at major stations near examination centres by around 12:30pm, with departures aligned accordingly to help candidates reach on time without inconvenience.
In addition, the schedule of the Jaynagar–Ara Intercity Express has been partially revised. Under the new arrangement, the train will arrive at Madhubani at approximately 12:30pm and will have an extended halt of 15 to 20 minutes to accommodate more candidates.
Railway authorities said the initiative is aimed at ensuring smooth and timely travel for examinees across the region.
