Patna: The National Testing Agency has released the city information slip for NEET UG 2026, providing early details about examination centres to candidates across the country.
The slip, made available on Monday morning, allows students to check their allotted exam city in advance, helping them plan travel and logistics ahead of the examination. Many aspirants have welcomed the move, saying it will reduce last-minute stress.
According to officials, the city slip contains key details such as the candidate’s name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, category and medium of examination. It also includes reporting time, gate closing time, exam timing, and the allotted city and state.
Students can download the slip by visiting the official website of the NTA using their registration number and password. Authorities have advised candidates to download and keep a copy सुरक्षित, and to report any discrepancies immediately.
The agency has clarified that the city information slip is not the admit card. It is only meant to inform candidates about their exam city. The admit card will be issued separately at a later stage and will be mandatory for entry into the examination hall.
Officials said the early release of city details will help students make timely arrangements for travel and accommodation, allowing them to focus better on preparation.
The NTA has also urged candidates to rely only on official sources for updates and avoid misinformation. Students have been advised to regularly check the website for notifications regarding the release of admit cards and other important announcements.
