Patna: A major update has emerged regarding the Bihar CET BEd 2026 examination, with the test expected to be conducted in June and the application process likely to begin in May.
According to sources, the state-level joint entrance examination for admission to BEd and Shiksha Shastri courses may be held on June 7 or 14. Universities across the state have been instructed not to schedule other examinations on these dates.
For the first time, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University has been designated as the nodal university for the examination. The university has asked institutions to submit details of nodal officers to ensure smooth coordination.
Officials said the online application process is expected to start in May, while the examination is scheduled for June, giving candidates limited time to complete formalities and prepare.
All updates related to the examination will be released on the official website, and candidates have been advised to check regularly.
Preparations are also under way in Muzaffarpur, where a nodal centre is being set up with necessary infrastructure, including internet connectivity and computer systems.
A large number of candidates are expected to appear for the exam this year, making it highly competitive. The entrance test is mandatory for admission to BEd courses across Bihar.
Registrar Sameer Kumar Sharma said that final arrangements for the examination will be completed soon.
