Patna: In a boost for summer travel, Air India Express will launch a new direct flight between Patna and Mumbai starting May 1, offering relief to passengers amid rising seasonal demand.
The airline announced that the service will initially operate till May 31, introduced in response to heavy passenger traffic during the summer vacation period. With this addition, the number of daily flights on the Patna–Mumbai route will increase from three to four.
According to the schedule, the flight will depart from Patna at 3:05 pm and arrive in Mumbai at 5:25 pm. On the return leg, it will leave Mumbai at 12:00 pm and reach Patna at 2:35 pm. The aircraft deployed on the route will have a capacity of 180 seats, including eight business class seats.
The move is expected to ease travel for passengers heading to Mumbai, one of the busiest destinations from Patna, especially during the holiday season.
However, direct connectivity from Patna to cities such as Jaipur and Bhopal remains unavailable. Passengers travelling to these destinations will continue to rely on connecting flights.
