Patna/New Delhi: Bihar’s labour resources and migrant workers welfare minister, Arun Shankar Prasad, on Thursday met Union labour and employment minister Mansukh Mandaviya at the latter’s residence in New Delhi.
The meeting focused on employment generation and skill development initiatives for youths in Bihar, according to an official statement.
Prasad informed the Union minister that the Bihar government, under its Saat Nischay-3 programme, has set a target of providing employment opportunities to one crore youths between 2025 and 2030.
He said the state government was working to achieve the target through various schemes aimed at skill development and employability enhancement.
Focus on labour reforms
During the discussion, Prasad also thanked the Union government for replacing 29 existing labour laws with four new labour codes.
