Patna: Following strict directions from the Patna High Court and initiatives taken by the Health Department, the Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has accelerated the recruitment process for 2,473 vacant pharmacist posts in the state.
On Monday, the commission issued a notice inviting objections from candidates who participated in the document verification process.
Candidates can submit objections online through the official BTSC website from May 19 to May 24. Applicants will be able to log in using their application number, mobile number, and date of birth to verify details including their name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, and marks obtained. In case of any discrepancy, candidates can raise objections seeking correction.
After resolving the objections, the final list of selected candidates will be sent to the Health Department along with recommendations for appointment.
The Health Department had earlier requested the commission to complete the selection process at the earliest and provide the list of recommended candidates in compliance with directions issued by the Patna High Court in the pending contempt petition titled Arvind Kumar vs State Government and Others.
Following this, BTSC issued the notice for candidates who had appeared for document verification conducted between February 6 and February 10 this year.
Nearly three months after the verification process, the commission has now fixed the dates for raising objections after the intervention of the High Court and the Health Department.
Candidates can log in on the commission’s website using their application number, registered mobile number, and date of birth. After receiving an OTP on their registered mobile number, they can click on the “Raise Objection” option to report any error or discrepancy.
Diploma Pharmacist Organisation Students’ Union state president Arvind Kumar Chaudhary welcomed the decision and expressed gratitude to the Health Minister, Health Department, and the commission for speeding up the recruitment process. He also demanded that appointment letters be issued at the earliest.
Four days ago, Chaudhary had met Health Minister Nishant Kumar and submitted a memorandum demanding early publication of the recruitment results.
