Patna: Students from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna secured placements across several prominent companies during the institute’s 2026 placement season, reflecting growing industry demand for professionals in design, UI/UX, digital branding and creative technology.
The placement process was conducted in multiple phases this year, with the institute aiming to provide students with broader recruitment opportunities through both physical and online drives.
Placement Drives Held Across Bengaluru And Delhi
The on-campus placement process was conducted in:
- Bengaluru from April 16 to 22
- Delhi from April 23 to 28
An additional online placement round was later organised from May 4 to 6 to extend further opportunities to students.
According to institute officials, a total of 63 students secured placements during the recruitment season.
The placement outcomes included:
- 23 students receiving Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs)
- 34 students securing placements through on-campus recruitment
- Six students obtaining off-campus opportunities
Highest Package Touches Rs 18 Lakh
The average annual package offered during this year’s placement season stood at Rs 6 lakh.
The highest annual package of Rs 18 lakh was secured by Sanskriti Sai, who was selected as a UI/UX Designer at Hyderabad-based Irontraks Cybertechnology.
Other major placements included:
- Shivanshu securing an annual package of Rs 12 lakh for a Designer role at Ludhiana-based Trident
- Godwin receiving a Rs 9 lakh annual package for the role of Experienced Designer at Gurugram-based Taglabs
Growing Demand For Design And UI/UX Professionals
Director Rahul Sharma said demand within the industry for professionals specialising in:
- Design
- UI/UX
- Digital branding
- Creative technology
had increased significantly in recent years, contributing to stronger placement outcomes for students.
Sharma said the institute’s industry-oriented training and exposure programmes had helped prepare students for evolving market requirements.
Students Credit Faculty And Industry Exposure
Sanskriti Sai described her selection as a UI/UX and Communication Designer as a moment of “immense pride and joy”, adding that faculty guidance and institutional support played a crucial role in her achievement.
Shivanshu said his placement reflected years of dedication and learning, while also crediting the practical training and industry exposure he received during his studies.
Godwin described his selection at Taglabs as a major turning point in his professional journey.
