Buxar: Abhinandan Mishra, a resident of Yogiyan village in Buxar district, has been selected for the rank of Lieutenant at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, securing the 42nd rank at the All-India level.

His achievement has drawn praise across the district, with local residents describing it as a moment of pride for the village and an inspiration for young people preparing for defence services.

Early Education In The Village

Abhinandan is the grandson of the late Sahajanand Mishra and son of the late Vachaspati Mishra. He completed his early education at the village primary school before continuing his studies with the aim of joining the armed forces.

Despite growing up in modest circumstances, he remained focused on his goal. In 2020, he was selected for the Indian Air Force, beginning his career in the defence sector.

Continued Preparation Amid Personal Loss

According to family members and local residents, Abhinandan faced significant personal challenges after the death of his parents. During this period, support from his elder brother played a key role in helping him continue his studies and preparation.

He later began preparing for officer-level entry into the Army and cleared the Services Selection Board (SSB) examination through sustained preparation and disciplined training.

Inspiration For Local Youth

Residents of Yogiyan village said Abhinandan’s success has encouraged students from rural backgrounds to pursue careers in the armed forces and other competitive fields.

Abhinandan credited his achievement to hard work, family support, and guidance from local people, including Buxar Sadar MLA Anand Mishra.

Speaking after his selection, he said young people should remain focused on their goals and continue working with honesty and determination despite difficulties.
