Patna: Anxiety among aspirants over the fourth phase of Bihar’s teacher recruitment exercise (TRE-4) deepened on Thursday as a group of student representatives met former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna to press for the release of the long-awaited notification.

The delegation urged that the recruitment advertisement be issued without further delay, citing growing uncertainty among lakhs of candidates preparing for government teaching posts.

Students Raise Demand for Immediate Notification

During the meeting, student representatives submitted their concerns and highlighted the extended waiting period for the TRE-4 process. They said aspirants have been preparing for nearly two years, but no formal advertisement has been released so far.

According to the students, the delay has led to increasing frustration among candidates, many of whom are facing financial and emotional pressure while continuing preparation.

Concerns Over Prolonged Delay

Student leader Dilip Kumar, who was part of the delegation, informed Nitish Kumar about the situation faced by aspirants. He said the uncertainty surrounding the recruitment cycle was affecting morale and career planning for thousands of candidates across the state.

The students also stressed that timely recruitment is essential to ensure stability in the education sector and to address vacancies in schools.

Assurance From Nitish Kumar

As per the student representatives, Nitish Kumar listened to their concerns and assured them that he would look into the matter and make efforts at his level to address the issue.

Following this assurance, the delegation expressed cautious optimism that the recruitment process may move forward in the coming period.

Wider Concerns Raised by Aspirants

The students also raised additional issues related to the teacher recruitment process during the interaction. The meeting has since sparked discussion within student groups and among aspirant communities across Bihar.

A large number of male and female students participated in the delegation. Among those present were Priyanka Patel, Neetu, Anshu, Shweta, Babli, Diya, Raviranjan, Deepak, Aneesh and Babul Kumar, who collectively urged the government to expedite the TRE-4 notification process.

Aspirants maintained that any further delay would continue to intensify concerns among candidates awaiting government recruitment opportunities.
