Patna: The Jan Suraaj campaign, active in Bihar since May 2, 2022, will officially transform into a political party on October 2, 2024. This decision follows two years of padayatra and public outreach, covering approximately 5,000 kilometers across the state.
The movement has attracted widespread support from the people of Bihar, historically known as a center of knowledge and democracy. For the first time in independent India, a political party is being formed by the collective will of the people, rather than any individual, caste, class, or family, with the goal of driving systemic change in Bihar.
People from all over Bihar have been invited to participate in the program, which marks a significant milestone in the movement. The event will take place on October 2, from 2 to 5 pm at the Veterinary College Ground in Patna.
