Patna: The Indian Railways will launch the Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express on Wednesday, enhancing rail connectivity between Bihar and Maharashtra. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will flag off the train from Hadapsar Railway Station in Pune.
The new service is expected to provide direct, affordable, and modern transportation between the two states while also benefiting passengers travelling through Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The train will cover a distance of around 1,748 kilometres between Pune and Danapur.
Railway officials said the service is expected to particularly benefit students, job seekers, migrant workers, and passengers travelling for medical treatment and competitive examinations.
Train Timings
According to the Railways, train number 11431 Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Pune every Saturday at 3:30 PM and reach Danapur at 1:30 AM on Monday.
In the return direction, train number 11432 Danapur-Pune Amrit Bharat Express will leave Danapur every Monday at 3:30 AM and arrive in Pune at 11:05 AM on Tuesday.
Route and Halts
The train will stop at several important stations en route, including Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar and Ara.
Modern Passenger Amenities
The Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express will operate with 18 LHB Amrit Bharat coaches equipped with modern passenger facilities. Key features include the advanced Kavach safety system, LED lighting, mobile charging points at every seat and berth, CCTV surveillance, toilets designed for differently-abled passengers, and public address and passenger information systems.
Railway officials said the introduction of the train reflects ongoing efforts to improve long-distance rail travel through enhanced safety, comfort, and accessibility for passengers across multiple states.
