Patna: Patna’s Lenin Cruise, operating from Gandhi Ghat, has started offering destination wedding packages, adding a new venue option for couples seeking to host ceremonies on the Ganga.
The cruise, managed by the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC), is positioning itself as a local alternative to destination wedding hubs such as Goa and Mumbai.
The service includes arrangements for wedding ceremonies as well as pre-wedding events.
Full wedding itinerary on board
According to the cruise management, the packages cover a range of functions including proposal events, ring ceremonies, haldi, mehendi, sangeet and the main wedding rituals.
Organisers said services also include guest reception, customised décor and planned entry arrangements for the bride and groom.
The events are held during a cruise on the river, with views of the Ganga and surrounding ghats.
Facilities on the cruise
The two-storey luxury vessel includes a fully air-conditioned floating restaurant, an open deck and rooms with attached bathrooms.
Officials said the infrastructure has been designed to host private and large-scale events, with facilities for dining, entertainment and accommodation.
Private proposal packages introduced
The cruise has also launched a dedicated pre-wedding package titled “Private Propose at Lenin Cruise”.
The package allows private booking of the entire vessel for approximately 90 minutes and includes catering, floral arrangements, cake, music and table décor.
The starting price for the package has been set at Rs. 25,999, according to the operators.
Customised event packages
Separate theme-based packages for haldi and sangeet ceremonies are also available, with options for customisation based on guest count and budget.
Organisers said wedding packages can include live music, photography, décor and catering, depending on client preferences.
Bookings are open through both online and offline channels, with enquiries also being accepted at the Gandhi Ghat jetty.
