Patna Women’s College Hosts Reiki Workshop for Staff Members

Patna: Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organized a workshop on ‘Reiki’ for its staff members. The resource person for the event was Prof. Kanak Verma, Retired Director of IPRS, Patna University. The workshop was attended by teachers and members of the IQAC and was moderated by Dr. Nupur Sinha, Head of the Department of Psychology.

Prof. Verma introduced the history of Reiki, explaining its core element of healing. She highlighted the concept of the five lotuses in the body that are activated by gentle touches on 24 specified areas. The session concluded with a live demonstration, which saw enthusiastic participation from the audience.

The workshop ended with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Manisha Kumari, Counsellor from the Guidance and Counselling Centre, Department of Psychology.
