Patna: Bihar is set for another shift in weather conditions on Wednesday, August 12, with thunderstorms, strong winds and rain forecast across several parts of the state, according to the latest update from the Meteorological Centre in Patna.
The Meteorological Department has advised people to exercise particular caution in north-west, north-east and south-west Bihar, where squalls with wind speeds of 30–40 km/h and lightning are likely during thunderstorms.
Light to moderate rainfall is also expected at isolated locations across all four broad divisions of the state.
Thunderstorms And Rain In Several Districts
West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Rohtas, Kaimur, Bhojpur, Buxar, Arwal and Aurangabad are likely to experience light rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds.
Similar conditions are expected in Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Madhepura and Saharsa, where rain, strong winds and lightning are possible.
In Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga and Samastipur, drizzle or light rain may occur at one or two locations.

Temperatures Likely To Remain Stable
Despite the change in weather conditions, temperatures across Bihar are expected to remain broadly stable.
The maximum temperature is likely to remain between 34°C and 36°C, while minimum temperatures are expected to range from 26°C to 28°C.
The forecast indicates that thunderstorms, gusty winds and isolated rainfall will remain the main weather features across parts of Bihar on August 12.
