Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation has granted administrative approval for 692 development projects across 58 wards under the One Crore Councillor Fund Scheme 4.0.
According to the municipal corporation, the projects were recommended by councillors based on the local requirements of their respective wards and are aimed at improving basic civic infrastructure and services.
Roads, Drains And Other Civic Works
The approved projects include the construction and renovation of roads and drains, installation of borewells and submersible pumps, construction of community centres, laying of paver blocks and other civic amenity works.
The total value of the projects approved across the six divisions is more than Rs 56.99 crore, according to the figures released by the Patna Municipal Corporation.
Division-Wise Approvals
Administrative approval has been granted for 88 projects worth Rs 7,99,61,697 in the Patna City Division.
The Patliputra Division received approval for 117 projects worth Rs 10,99,85,600, while 134 projects worth Rs 11,85,70,800 were approved in the Nutan Rajdhani Division.
In the Kankarbagh Division, 136 projects worth Rs 8,47,74,185 received administrative approval.
The Bankipur Division received approval for 106 projects worth Rs 9,69,16,500, while 111 projects worth Rs 7,97,24,827 were approved in the Azimabad Division.
Focus On Ward-Level Infrastructure
The corporation said the approved works are expected to improve infrastructure related to roads, drainage, water supply, community facilities and other essential civic services at the ward level.
The One Crore Councillor Fund Scheme 4.0 is intended to support small-scale but essential development works based on the specific requirements of individual wards.
The process of granting administrative approval for the remaining recommended projects is also being expedited, the corporation said, with the aim of starting pending development works across wards within a defined timeframe.
