Patna: Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday heard the grievances of 137 applicants from across Bihar during the state-level Sahyog programme at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and directed officials to take time-bound action on their complaints.
Choudhary said resolving public grievances and ensuring justice was the government’s responsibility. He asked officials to provide relief by addressing complaints promptly and within the prescribed timeframe.
Complex Grievances Can Be Raised In Patna
The Chief Minister said applicants whose issues had already been resolved did not need to travel to Patna.
He advised people with complex grievances that remained unresolved at the district level to appear at the state-level Sahyog programme in Patna and present their cases for further action.
CM said timely resolution of public complaints had strengthened public confidence in the government and that officials had a responsibility to maintain that trust.
District Officials Asked To Meet Deadlines
Grievances concerning several departments were raised during the programme, including Revenue and Land Reforms, Education, Home, Rural Works, Health, Food and Consumer Protection, and Social Welfare.
CM directed the concerned District Magistrates and departmental officials to resolve the complaints within the stipulated time.
District Magistrates, Senior Superintendents of Police, Superintendents of Police and other officials from across the state participated in the programme through video conferencing.
Pension And Ration Cases Reviewed
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that eligible applicants received old-age pensions and ration cards without unnecessary delay.
He said technical issues should not prevent eligible beneficiaries from accessing government schemes and instructed officials and staff to work transparently and sensitively.
Officials were asked to aim for resolution of public grievances within 30 days through the Sahyog camps.
Officials Warned Against Delay
CM said laxity in disposing of applications would not be tolerated. Officials were instructed to examine complaints carefully and take fair and prompt decisions.
Applicants whose grievances were resolved during the programme expressed their appreciation for the process. The government said the objective of Sahyog was not merely to close complaints but to ensure that people were satisfied with the solutions provided.
