Patna, September 24: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader and Union minister Chirag Paswan attended the party’s ‘Youth BOLE TO’ programme at the Veterinary College Ground in Patna on Thursday, where he interacted with young people on issues related to education, employment and Bihar’s future.
Paswan arrived at the programme in a T-shirt and jeans, taking part in a youth-focused interaction rather than a conventional political address.
Addressing participants, he said the platform was meant for young people to question the government and the education system and raise concerns about their future.
He said he had come to the event not as a Union minister but as an “elder brother” to listen to the suggestions and concerns of young people.
‘Question The Government And Also Yourself’
During the interaction, Paswan said some of the questions raised by young people might not have immediate answers.
He said the issues could instead be addressed collectively, with young people putting forward their concerns and working towards solutions.
He also said that while raising complaints, people should be willing to question themselves and focus on finding solutions.
The party had earlier described ‘Youth BOLE TO’ as a platform for direct interaction with young people on education, employment, skill development, entrepreneurship and technology.
Paswan Talks About His Film Career
Paswan also spoke about his career before entering politics.
He said he had worked in films but did not achieve success because it was not a field that matched his interests.
He said he now works in politics and feels a sense of satisfaction from doing work that aligns with his interests.
He advised young people to identify areas they are interested in and pursue careers in those fields.
Youth Raises Concern Over Exam Irregularities
Competitive examination irregularities were among the concerns raised during the programme.
A participant said students spend considerable time preparing for competitive examinations but face problems such as alleged paper leaks and irregularities.
The participant said such incidents affect candidates who have prepared seriously and called for stronger measures to prevent malpractice in examinations.
The concern was raised in the context of protecting students’ efforts and ensuring greater confidence in the examination system.
AI, Coding And Digital Skills Discussed
The discussion also covered the changing nature of employment in the digital era.
Paswan spoke about artificial intelligence, coding and digital skills, saying these areas could offer new career opportunities for young people.
The interaction also touched upon the need for greater access to higher education and employment opportunities within Bihar.
The issue of youth migration to other states was also discussed, along with the need to expand opportunities within the state.
Startups And Government Support
Participants also discussed the possibility of starting businesses and startups in Bihar.
Topics included government support, financial assistance, training and creating a more supportive environment for businesses.
