Patna: The Saran district administration launched the Sonpur Mela app on Wednesday to make the historic fair more accessible and digital for visitors. The app will provide all essential information related to the fair, including details on sports, cultural programs, ghats, hospitals, policing, and more, all in one place. This initiative aims to enhance the convenience for tourists, both near and far.
DPRO Ravindra Kumar emphasised that the app was designed with the convenience of visitors in mind. It features GPS integration and Google Maps to help users navigate various locations around the fair. Users will have access to updated information about different aspects of the event, including daily photos and videos, which will be uploaded regularly by a dedicated IT team from the district administration.
The app will also offer details on various services and facilities at the fair, such as information about the lost and found, Janta Thali, animal hospital, route charts, fare, and ghats. This initiative is expected to make it easier for both locals and tourists to stay informed and enjoy the fair without any hassle.
With the app, people who are unable to visit the fair in person can also stay updated on the event and experience its activities remotely. The district administration is committed to continuously improving and updating the app to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for everyone involved.
