Nalanda : Police in Nalanda district are investigating an alleged gang rape after a woman working as an orchestra dancer accused two men of sexually assaulting her in a rented room in the Laheri police station area.

According to the woman’s account, she and another dancer were invited to a birthday party on the pretext of performing at the event. She alleged that seven men were present in the room when they arrived and that two of them sexually assaulted her after the other woman left.

The incident reportedly took place at a rented house in the Shivpuri locality, where several young men were staying. Police reached the location after receiving information about the alleged incident and began an investigation.

According to the details reported, the woman was told that she and another performer were needed to dance at a birthday celebration.

The two women subsequently went to the rented accommodation, where seven men were allegedly present. The complainant stated that the other dancer left during the gathering, after which two men allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The allegations have not yet been established in court. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident and working to identify the accused.

Police And FSL Team Collect Evidence

After receiving information about the alleged assault, Sadar Deputy Superintendent of Police-I Amarnath and Laheri police station in-charge Anil Kumar Pandey reached the location with a police team.

Given the seriousness of the allegations, a forensic science laboratory (FSL) team was also called to examine the scene and collect evidence relevant to the investigation.

Investigators are examining the available evidence to establish the circumstances of the alleged assault and identify those involved.

Police took both women into their protection and brought them to the police station for questioning. The process of arranging a medical examination for the complainant was also initiated, according to the report.

Police officials have not yet issued a detailed public statement about the case. Authorities said the investigation was continuing and that raids were underway to identify and arrest the accused.
