Bihar to Open Tourist Information Centre in Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Chowk

Patna: Bihar’s tourism department is set to establish a dedicated tourist information centre in Varanasi, aimed at showcasing the state’s attractions to visitors from across the globe. The centre will be located on the ground floor of the Emporium building at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Mandir Chowk, occupying 784 square feet of space.

The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation will oversee the centre’s decoration and design, ensuring it stands out as an inviting and informative space.

Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra highlighted the transformative changes in Varanasi under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The divinity and grandeur of Varanasi have received a new identity, attracting a growing number of domestic and international visitors to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple,” Mishra said.

He added that the tourist information centre would serve as a resource for visitors to learn about Bihar’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Necessary preparations for the centre’s opening are underway, with plans to inaugurate it soon.

This initiative is part of Bihar’s broader efforts to promote its tourism offerings and establish a stronger presence in key pilgrimage hubs like Varanasi.
