Patna: Patna Women’s College celebrated the 75th Constitution Day with great enthusiasm, organising a series of activities under the leadership of the Department of Political Science in collaboration with JAGRITI (The Constitutional Values & Ethics Club), the National Service Scheme (NSS), and the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The event highlighted the significance of constitutional principles and values.

The celebrations began at 10:00 AM with the Preamble Reading Ceremony, led by Adweetiya Sinha and Simran Sinha, Assistant Professors in the Department of Political Science. Students from across the college actively participated, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals enshrined in the Indian Constitution.

At 2:00 PM, a Quiz Bowl for teachers was hosted by Adweetiya Sinha. Five teams, named after prominent women leaders who contributed to India’s constitutional journey, competed in the event. The Begum Aijaz Rasool group, represented by Madhuri Kumar and Manya from the Department of Mass Communication, clinched the first position. The Rajkumari Amrit Kaur group, represented by Deepika and Sehar Rehman from the Department of English, secured the second position. A tie for third place emerged between the Sucheta Kriplani group, represented by Gautam (Department of Commerce) and Rajiv Ranjan (Department of Zoology), and the Sarojini Naidu group, represented by Deepa and Brahmanand from the Department of Hindi. Dr. Vinita Priyadarshi, Head of the Department of Political Science, announced the results.

The celebrations concluded with a Special Lecture on Constitutional Values delivered by Dr. Vinita Priyadarshi in Carmel Hall at 3:00 PM. The lecture, organised exclusively for non-teaching staff, emphasised the importance of constitutional principles in daily life and encouraged attendees to uphold these values in their professional roles.
