MOTIHARI – Department of English, Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU) organized an International Webinar on “Introduction to Creative Writing in English” on Wednesday. Emerita Prof. Arlene M. Plevin, Olympic College, USA and Prof. Roshan Lal Sharma, Former VC, and Dean, School of Languages, Central University of Himachal Pradesh were the resource persons.
Prof. Arlene Plevin discussed various techniques to do the creative writing. She took examples from select poems. Prof. Roshan Lal Sharma shared his perspective on creative writing. He also talked on translation and transcreation and took examples from his own poetic work.
The Webinar was organized by the convenor, Dr. Kalyani Hazri, Asst. Prof., MGCU especially for the students of English Department who have creative interests.
