Union Home Minister Amit Shah Says Modi-Nitish Freed Bihar from Jungle Raj, Promises to Remove Every Infiltrator

Arwal: Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a massive election rally in Arwal on Sunday, the last day of campaigning for the Bihar Assembly elections. In his speech, Shah said that Bihar had been freed from jungle raj and Naxal violence because of the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He warned that some people were trying to bring Naxalism back to the state under the “guise of the red flag” and appealed to voters to stop such attempts. According to him, the people of Bihar have moved past the days of ransom, kidnapping, and violence that once plagued the state.

Shah said that the NDA government has been working hard to promote industry and employment in Bihar. He claimed that the government wants to make Bihar a hub of industry and progress but that this can only happen if peace is maintained. He asked the people not to support the “Red Flag CPI(ML) workers” in Arwal, saying their ideology could spread to Patna and stop industrial development. “If such people get a chance, industries will never come to Bihar,” he said.

Speaking about the ongoing elections, Shah said that the results of the first phase of voting show a clear trend that the NDA will return to power in the state. He also said that Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party had been wiped out in the very first phase. Taking aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Shah said that he is holding yatras in support of infiltrators who are “snatching jobs from Bihar’s youth and robbing the rights of the poor.” He asked the public, “Should such people live in Bihar?” and assured that the NDA government will drive out every infiltrator from the state.

The Home Minister also attacked the Congress party for what he called its history of disrespecting great leaders. He said that the Congress never honoured Dr. B.R. Ambedkar during his lifetime and only gave him the Bharat Ratna when it was out of power. He also accused the Congress of not allowing Babu Jagjivan Ram to become Prime Minister.

Towards the end of his speech, Shah praised the Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme. He said that under the scheme, women have already received Rs 10,000 from the government and will soon get another Rs 200,000. He added that the RJD was spreading rumours that this scheme would be stopped, but he assured women that “no one can take this money back.”
