Patna: A Patna court on Thursday deferred its decision on the anticipatory bail plea of Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, and the regular bail applications of his two security guards in the coaching dispute case after finding the updated case diary submitted by police to be incomplete.
During the hearing at Patna Civil Court, the court directed the investigating agency to submit the complete case diary before the next hearing. The matter has now been listed for June 27.
At the same time, the court granted bail to Abhishek and Gaurav, both associated with Roshan Anand, providing relief to the two accused in the ongoing case.
Court Seeks Complete Investigation Records
During proceedings related to Khan Sir and his guards, the police submitted an updated case diary. However, the court observed that the records were incomplete and instructed the police to furnish the complete investigation documents.
As a result, no final order was passed on the anticipatory bail plea of Khan Sir or the bail applications of his security personnel.
The next hearing in both matters is scheduled for Saturday, June 27.
Bail Granted to Roshan Anand Associates
Separately, the bail petitions of Abhishek and Gaurav were heard in the court of the District and Additional Sessions Judge.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court granted regular bail to both accused.
Raghav Kumar, counsel for Roshan Anand, said the court had allowed the bail applications without conditions and that the necessary bond formalities would now be completed to facilitate their release from Beur Jail.
Police Diary Raises Fresh Questions
According to information presented during the hearing, the updated case diary submitted by police states that the firing incident under investigation was not an act of self-defence.
The document reportedly alleges that the two guards opened fire at the direction of Khan Sir with the intention of creating panic. These findings are expected to be examined further during subsequent court proceedings.
Interim Protection Continues
The latest hearing follows an earlier order passed on June 20, when the court granted interim protection to Khan Sir and directed that no coercive or punitive action be taken against him until the next hearing.
The court had also extended similar protection to three other staff members associated with Khan Sir.
Following a review of the case diary and related documents, the court decided to continue the interim relief while seeking additional records from the investigating agency.
Arvind Kumar Maurya, counsel for Khan Sir, had earlier stated that the court had protected his client from arrest for the time being and that further decisions would depend on the examination of the case diary and other evidence.
Khan Sir Denies Allegations
In his anticipatory bail petition, Khan Sir has denied any involvement in the firing incident and maintained that he has been falsely implicated in the case.
The court is expected to consider the police records, defence submissions and other material on record before deciding on the bail plea.
Background of the Dispute
The case stems from an incident involving violence and alleged firing outside a coaching institute in Patna.
The dispute has attracted significant public attention, with allegations and counter-allegations from both sides. Following his release from jail, Roshan Anand accused Khan Sir of conspiring against him and alleged involvement in the murder of his brother, Prince Yadav.
Investigations into these allegations and related legal proceedings remain ongoing.

With bail granted to two associates of Roshan Anand and no decision yet on the petitions filed by Khan Sir and his associates, attention is now focused on the June 27 hearing.
