Patna: In line with the national cleanliness campaign, AIIMS Patna organized a ‘Waste to Art’ Exhibition on Tuesday at the In-Patient Department (IPD) foyer. The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Mukta Agarwal, DMS (Pharm) and Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, as part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2025. This year’s sensitization program carried the theme “Swachhotsav.”
The exhibition was coordinated and executed by the Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Senior Nursing Officers, and Nursing Officers (Lactation Counseling Team). The initiative aimed to encourage the creative reuse of materials that are usually discarded as waste.
A total of 14 entries were showcased, submitted by a diverse group of participants including faculty members, nursing staff, B.Sc (H) Nursing students, hospital attendants, and housekeeping staff.

Chief Guest and Jury
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. (Brig.) Dr. Raju Agarwal, Executive Director of AIIMS Patna, who attended as the Chief Guest. He was joined by a panel of judges:

- Shri Nilotpal Bal, Deputy Director, Administration
- Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Assistant Professor, Pediatrics
- Dr. Rathish Nair, Assistant Professor, Principal in Charge & Chief Nursing Officer (College of Nursing)
Innovative Artworks from Waste
Participants presented beautiful, vibrant, and innovative artworks crafted from discarded items. The exhibits reflected creativity, sustainability, and the spirit of the Swachhata mission.
Commending the efforts, Prof. (Brig.) Dr. Raju Agarwal praised the participants for transforming waste into meaningful works of art, describing the initiative as a strong step toward promoting awareness on waste management and environmental responsibility.
