PATNA – Under the visionary leadership of Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, AIIMS Patna achieved a significant milestone today as the Executive Director, Dr. G K Pal, successfully demonstrated the operability of a healthcare drone at the institute.
The event, attended by key figures including DDA Nilotpal Bal, Nodal Officer Dr. Sanjay Pandey, and Member Secretary of the Drone committee Dr. Anil Kumar, showcased the collaborative effort that led to this groundbreaking initiative. Dr. G K Pal, expressing his appreciation for the teamwork, congratulated the entire Drone Project team and extended gratitude to Minister Mansukh Mandaviya for his unwavering support.
Dr. G.K.Pal informed us that today’s demonstration is part of the preparations for the launch of drones by the Health Ministry on January 25, 2024. AIIMS Patna takes pride in being the first institute in the country to conduct a drone demonstration in the Red zone, within a 7 Km radius of the airport, with approval from the airport authority of Patna.
During the demonstration, Nilotpal Bal highlighted the meticulous planning and budget considerations essential for the successful execution of this revolutionary healthcare initiative. Dr. Sanjay Pandey emphasized the significance of teamwork in achieving such milestones, underlining the collective efforts that contributed to the successful demonstration.
Dr. Anil Kumar, Professor and Head of Trauma Surgery and Critical Care, expressed joy, stating that this initiative would bring about a significant transformation in healthcare, ensuring that health facilities reach the last person in the queue. The initiative represents a crucial step forward in making healthcare accessible to all.
The diverse audience, including students, staff, and senior faculty members, witnessed the historic demonstration. Notable figures present included Medical Superintendent Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Dean Dr. Umesh Kumar Bhadani, Dean Examination Dr. Anup Kumar, Dr. Swetlina Pradhan, Dr. Devendu Bhushan, and Dr. Poonam Prasad Bhadani.
