Akhilesh Yadav Targets Nitish Kumar In Darbhanga: “He’s Just An Election Groom, Not The Next Chief Minister”

At a Mahagathbandhan rally in Darbhanga, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav accused Nitish Kumar of being a symbolic leader and warned that Bihar could see a repeat of Maharashtra, where those who fought the election weren’t made CM.

Darbhanga: Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav launched a sharp attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during a rally in Darbhanga on Saturday, calling him “an election groom” who knows he will not return as Chief Minister.

Speaking at the Mahagathbandhan campaign event, Yadav said, “Nitish Kumar is merely garlanding others; he knows he won’t become Chief Minister now.” Drawing a comparison with other states, he added, “You’ve seen what happened in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh — those who fought the elections weren’t made Chief Minister. The same will happen in Bihar.”

Turning his attention to the BJP, Yadav accused the ruling party of pushing inflation to record highs and betraying the youth. “The BJP keeps promising jobs before every election, but how many young people have actually been employed? Even army recruitment is no longer secure under their Agniveer scheme,” he said, pledging that the Grand Alliance would restore stable employment.

He lauded RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s record on job creation, saying, “Tejashwi has given jobs before, and he will do so again — one job per family.”

Referring to the Dularchand murder case in Mokama, Yadav said the killing exposed the breakdown of law and order in Bihar. “If such incidents occur where the Prime Minister or the Home Minister is campaigning, what does that say about governance? Is this jungle raj or mangal raj?” he asked.

Akhilesh Yadav also accused the BJP of dividing communities for electoral gains and predicted its defeat in Bihar. “The people of Awadh have already defeated the BJP. Now, the people of Magadha will do the same,” he declared. “If the Grand Alliance forms the government in Bihar, there will be no BJP government in Delhi.”

Criticising Nitish Kumar’s alliance with the BJP, Yadav said, “He is operating from Delhi now and not taking independent decisions.” Urging voters to remain vigilant, he warned that the BJP had multiple “teams”—A, B, and even a “P team,” a veiled reference to political strategist Prashant Kishor.
