Gayaji: Rail passengers travelling between Gayaji and Delhi will soon have a faster and more comfortable option, with the launch of the Amrit Bharat Express. The inaugural service, flagged off by the Prime Minister on August 22, will operate as train number 03621 Gayaji–Delhi Amrit Bharat Inaugural Special.
Departing Gayaji Junction at 10.50 am, the special will stop at Anugrah Narayan Road, Dehri-on-Sone, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Subedarganj in Prayagraj, Govindpuri in Kanpur, Tundla, and Ghaziabad before reaching Delhi at 4.30 am the next day.
From August 28, the train will run regularly as 13697/13698 Delhi–Gayaji–Delhi Amrit Bharat Express. It will operate twice weekly, leaving Gayaji every Sunday and Thursday and departing Delhi every Monday and Friday. The train will have 22 coaches, including 8 sleeper class, 11 general class, 1 pantry car, and 2 SLRs.
Train 13697 Gayaji–Delhi Amrit Bharat Express will leave Gayaji at 4.30 pm and reach Delhi at noon the following day, while train 13698 will depart Delhi at 2.00 pm and arrive in Gayaji at 8.55 am the next morning.
